Switching off the appliance

Press the On/Off button 1a. When the temperature
D
display light goes out, refrigeration and light
switch off.

Disconnecting the appliance

If the appliance is not used for a prolonged period:
Pull out the mains plug or switch off the fuse.
D

Cleaning the appliance.

Leave the appliance door open.
D
Cleaning the appliance
Attention: Pull out the mains plug or switch off
D
the fuse!
Wipe the door seal with clear water only and then
D
wipe dry thoroughly.
Clean the appliance with lukewarm water and a little
D
washing up liquid. Water used for cleaning must
not drip onto the temperature selector or light.
After cleaning: reconnect and switch
D
on the appliance.
Do not use abrasive or acidic cleaning agents and
solvents.
Regularly clean the condensation channel and drainage
hole, with a cotton bud or similar implement to ensure
that the condensation can drain. The rinsing water must
not run through the drain hole into the evaporation pan.
Attention:
Never clean the shelves or containers in the dishwasher.
The parts may warp!

Tips for saving energy

Install the appliance in a cool, well ventilated room,
D
but not in direct sunlight and not near a heat source
(radiator, cooker, etc.).
Otherwise, use an insulating plate.
Leave warm food and drinks to cool down first.
D
Thaw frozen food by placing it in the refrigerator
D
compartment. The low temperature of the frozen
food will then cool the food in the refrigerator
compartment.
Open the appliance door as briefly as possible.
D
Occasionally clean the rear of the appliance with
D
a vacuum cleaner or paint brush to prevent
an increased power consumption.

Information on operating noises

Normal noises
A humming noise is emitted by the motor
D
(compressor). When the motor switches ON,
the noise may briefly increase in volume.
A bubbling, gurgling or whirring noise is emitted
D
by the refrigerant as it flows through the tubing.
A clicking noise can be heard when the thermostat
D
switches the motor ON/OFF.
Noises which can be easily rectified
Drawers, baskets or shelves are loose
D
or are sticking
Please check that the they are correctly positioned
and, if required, reinsert them.
Bottles and/or receptacles are touching each
D
other
Please move bottles and/or receptacles away from
each other.
