• Regularly instruct the personnel about safety-conscious conduct.
Note:
We have carried out a risk assessment for the fan. However, it can only apply to the fan itself. After
installation of the fan, we recommend carrying out a risk assessment of the total system. In this way, you
have the guarantee that there is no risk potential from the system.
2.2
Personnel
The fan may only be used by qualified, instructed and trained personnel. The persons must know the relevant safety di-
rectives in order to recognise and to avoid risks. The individual items of work and qualifications can be found in Table 1
Qualifications, page 6.

Personal protective equipment
Wear the following protective equipment
• protective working clothes

• helmet
• hearing protection
2.4
Intended use
The fans are intended for installation in ventilation systems. They can be installed both in channel systems and also
with free suction via an admission nozzle and a suction-side contact protection grid. Free blow-out via a contact protec-
tion grid is also possible.
• The fan is suitable for conveying clean air, density of 1.3 kg/m³ and permissible humidity of max. 95 %.
• The maximum permissible operating data on the name plate apply for an air density of 1.2 kg/m³ (sea level) and a
max. air humidity of 80 %.

Incorrect use
Incorrect use refers mainly to using the fan in an other way than described. The following points are incorrect and
hazardous:
• Conveying of explosive and combustible media
• Conveying of media containing dust or kitchen exhaust air
