1.3 Operation

Only use the recommended accessories and make sure they are fully functional. Only original STORCH
spare parts and accessories should be used. When replacing spare parts or electrical connections the tech-
nical specifications prescribed by the manufacturer must be adhered to and original spare parts used. A
machine should not be used if the condition of all connection cables and components is objectionable.
Occupational safety
STORCH single disc sanding machines have been constructed in accordance with state of the art technolo-
gy and the recognised safety regulations. Nevertheless, if they are used improperly they can pose a danger
to operating personnel and result in deterioration of the machine and other such objects. When working
with the machine please pay attention to any third party present, particularly children. In the event of a fai-
lure of the machine it must be switched off and unplugged immediately in order to prevent further harm or
damage from occurring.
Intended use
When equipped with special accessories this single disc sanding machine is suitable for sanding, roughe-
ning and stripping floors. The operator is explicitly informed that the machine is only to be operated in
accordance with its intended use. If the machine is not used as intended, it is the sole responsibility of the
user. The manufacturer shall be excluded from any liability in such a case.

2.1 Technical description

STORCH ESM 1500 single disc sanding machines effectively remove flooring remnants and sand all types of screed
and primed subfloors.
Thanks to a wide range of accessories the ESM 1500 can be used for numerous applications , thereby helping to save
time and money.
The machine can be guided over the floor in a semi-circular motion by raising and lowering the guide bar. This allows
uneven surfaces to be eliminated and/or flooring remnants to be removed, thus producing a flat, level surface.
Abrasives can be exchanged within seconds. The rugged design of the ESM 1500 ensures a long service life.
