11. Troubleshooting

No camera picture (or only interference)
• Set the matching operating mode; see chapter 8. The surveillance camera can supply a conventional
analogue CVBS video signal or a high-resolution signal in operating modes "AHD", "CVI" and "TVI".
If the wrong operating mode has been chosen (observe the operating instructions for your DVR or screen
for what video signals it can process), there will either be no picture at all, or you will see only interference.
• Set the DVR or screen to the correct input channel.
• Check the voltage/current supply of the surveillance camera.
• Check the surveillance camera's cable connections.
Only black/white camera image
• Check the setting in the setup menu.
• At night, the camera will automatically switch to black/white display (at the same time, the IR-LED will be
activated). Colour display is not possible here.
Screen too bright
• Check the settings in the setup menu; reset the camera to factory settings if required.
• Never point the camera at the sun or a lamp.
• Select the corresponding settings in the setup menu, e.g. for white balance, etc.
