After network ON, the edge trimmer is activated, the edge
trimming knife is up, the light-emitting diode X glows. The flashing
of the light-emitting diode X indicates that an automatic setting of
the knife while sewing through a stitch count "z1" is impending.

By actuating the button Y before beginning of seam, the edge
trimmer is made inactive, the light-emitting diode is dark.
–
with another actuation of the button Y before beginning of seam,
the edge trimmer is reactivated and the light-emitting diode
flashes.
–
The stitch count "z1" for the intervention of the edge trimmer
starts with beginning of seam, the light-emitting diode flashes.
–
After the counting ("z1) has ended, the edge trimmer is switched
on and the light-emitting diode is switched on. (For set values of
the stitch counter, see parameter table row B)

If the stitch counter "z1" is adjusted to "0", then the edge trimmer
switches on with the first entry of the needle.
–
During the stitch count "z1", the stitch count can be aborted by
actuating the button Y and the edge trimmer can be switched on
immediately.
–
With the switching on of the edge trimmer, the stitch count ("z2")
for the switching off operation starts. The light-emitting diode
flashes and therewith indicates that an automatic switch-off of the
edge trimmer is impending. (For set values of the stitch counter,
see parameter table row C)

If the stitch counter "z2" is adjusted to "0", then the edge trimmer
does not switch off automatically.

During the stitch count "z1", the stitch count can be aborted by
actuating the button Y and the edge trimmer can be switched off
immediately.

With a parameter (for set value, see parameter table row D), it is
specified as to whether the next seam after thread cutting will be
executed with or without edge trimmer.
