Configuration, PC Program
The configuration of the Analog/ISDN Converter is
made via the USB interface of an attached PC.
The previously installed driver "Virtual COM Port
(VCP) Driver" imitates the function of a serial inter-
face so you have to select one of the existing COM
ports in the PC program.
Which of the existing interfaces in your PC is con-
nected, can be determined by looking into the
device manager of the control panel. You can start
it with the key combination WINDOWS+BREAK or
depending on the operating system as follows:
– Windows 2000: Start + Settings + Control
Panel + System + Device Manager
– Windows XP: Start + Control Panel + System
+ Hardware + Device Manager
– Windows Vista: Start + Control Panel (Classic
View) + Device Manager
You cannot reset the administrator pass-
word.
The device has to be sent to Auerswald
for resetting the administrator password.
For a first time configuration of the Analog/ISDN
Converter, please proceed as follows:
1. Start the corresponding PC program.
2. Close the dialogue Open Configuration by
clicking Cancel.
