8. General Information on Handling the Digital Recorder

In the further course of these operating instructions, the digital recorder's operation is mainly described
via mouse. However, you can also use the buttons on the front or the included infrared remote control.
For the respective explanation of the operating buttons on the front and remove control, see chapter
„6. Display, Connection and Operating Elements".

RS485 connection:
The RS485 connection is intended for a suitable PTZ
camera. This is not included in the scope of delivery
and is available optionally. Please note the operating
instructions of the PTZ camera.
SENSOR connections:
The sensor connections 1 to 4 can be used to connect
sensors with NC or NO contacts.
ALARM connection:
The ALARM connection (=alarm output) can be used
for connecting e.g. an optical or acoustic signalling
device.
