• For safety reasons, disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket in case of a
thunderstorm.
• Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. If necessary, disconnect the device from
the mains and take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never pour fl uids onto electrical devices. This would cause a serious danger of fi re or
electric shock. If such a case does occur, disconnect the shock-proof plug from the
mains socket immediately and consult an expert.
• Maintenance, adjustments and repairs may only be carried out by a qualifi ed specialist
or a specialised repair shop.
• For any unanswered questions please contact our customer service or other specialists.

5. Battery Notes

• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Please observe the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave batteries lying around openly. There is a risk of them being swallowed by children
or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause chemical burns to skin when
touched without the use of adequate protective gloves.
• Do not short-circuit or dismantle batteries/rechargeable batteries and do not throw them into
fi re. There is a danger of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a danger of explosion! Only charge rechargeable bat-
teries intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• If not used for a longer period (e.g. when stored), remove the inserted battery. If batteries are
too old, they may leak and cause damage to the product, which leads to the cancellation of the
warranty/guarantee.
