Suspension fork
Your Mercedes-Benz Bike is equipped with
suspension forks to provide you with the
greatest possible comfort when riding on
a wide range of different surfaces. Shocks
generated by uneven surfaces are con-
siderably reduced and your bike is much
easier to handle on rough tracks. The total
stroke of the shock absorbing system is
63 mm.
Any shocks resulting from uneven sur-
faces are transmitted to a spring integra-
ted in the left (in the direction of travel)
fork element. To ensure the optimum
function of the suspension forks, it is ne-
cessary to adjust the suspension fork cha-
racteristics to your body mass and cycling
style. Precise continuous adjustments
are carried out by means of the wheel
located on the fork bridge joining the fork
elements. Turning the wheel clockwise
increases the spring compression and
makes the suspension significantly harder.
Turning the wheel anti-clockwise reduces
the spring compression and makes the
suspension softer. The adjustment range
is 5 full turns of the wheel

when you mount your bike. Please ask an
assistant to measure the amount of sag
when you are in the saddle.

forks when the bike is not loaded. Slip the
cable clip as far down the sliding tube as
you can. When you mount your bike, the
clip will be pushed up as far as the sus-
pension sags. You can now easily measure
the actual sag distance. If the suspension
forks sag too much, increase the spring
compression to arrive at the correct valu
