Road safety
The German road safety regulations
(StVZO) require that a bicycle must be
equipped with two independently func-
tioning and operational brakes, a clearly
audible bell, front lamp, rear lamp, reflec-
ting pedals, lateral reflectors on front and
rear wheels, integrated reflecting stripes
on the tyres as well as front and rear
reflectors.
