8.3 Connection for dust extraction
m WARNING!
Harmful/noxious gases may be gener-
ated when e.g. lead-containing paint is
processed. These gases entail a risk for
the operator and bystanders! Therefore
only use the power tool in combination
with a dust extraction unit, and protect
yourself and other persons in the work-
ing area with additional suitable person-
al protective equipment!
When working with this power tool, a Iot of
dust is generated. The dust extraction unit
is very useful if you want to keep your work-
place clean and to minimise the level of dust
for the operator.
8.3.1 Connecting the extraction hose
(fig. 4)
1. Push the connection adapter (12) onto
the dust extraction connector (5).
2. Push the extraction hose (11) into the
connection adapter (12).
3. Turn the extraction hose (11) to the right
to securely lock the two components.
4. For disassembly turn the extraction hose
(11) to the left, pull out the extraction hose
(11) and remove the connection adapter
(12).
8.3.2 Connecting the dust bag (fig. 5, 6)
1. Push the extraction hose (11) into the
connection piece of the dust bag (10).
2. Make sure that the spigot locks into place
in the connection piece of the dust bag
(10) to securely connect the extraction
hose (11) with the dust bag (10).
3. Hang the shoulder strap (16) into the rings
of the dust bag (10) and the machine.
4. To disassemble the dust bag (10), press
the locked connection piece of the ex-
traction hose (11) together using a screw-
driver (14) and remove the extraction
hose (11) (fig. 6).

8.4 Connection to the power supply
1. Make sure that the power tool is switched
off. Always switch the on/off switch (4) to
off position before connecting the power
tool to the power supply.
2. Plug the power plug into a correctly in-
stalled socket which complies with the
requirements specified in the technical
data.
3. Your power tool is now ready for operation.
8.5 Adjusting the speed (fig. 7)
Before you start working, select the speed
according to the application. Use a low
speed for coarse sanding, increase the
speed for fine work.
Adjust the speed of the sanding plate by
turning the adjustment wheel
8.6 Switching on/off (fig. 8)
Switching on:
Press the on/off switch (4).
Continuous operation:
Press the on/off switch (4) and secure it with
the locking button (3).
Switching off:
Press the on/off switch (4) briefly and let it go
immediately.
Note: The insertion tool moves for a short
while after having it switched off. Do not put
aside the power tool until the insertion tool
has come to a complete halt.
8.7 Adjusting the extraction power (fig. 9)
Turn the adjustment wheel for extraction
power (6) until the desired extraction power
is achieved.
