10. Cleaning, maintenance
and storage
m WARNING! Unplug the power tool be-
fore starting to work on it (e.g. transport,
installation, retrofitting, cleaning and
maintenance)!
10.1 Cleaning
• Keep protective devices, ventilation open-
ings and motor housings free of dust and
dirt as far as possible.
• Wipe the power tool with a clean cloth or
blow it off with compressed air at low pres-
sure (3 bar max.).
• Clean the power tool immediately after
each use.
• Do not use cleaning agents or solvents
since these could damage the plastic parts
in the equipment. Ensure that no water can
get into the interior of the equipment.
10.2 Maintenance
Check the power tool and accessory parts
(e. g. insertion tools) for wear and damage
before and after each operation. lf neces-
sary, replace worn out or damaged parts
with new parts and make sure to comply
with the operating instructions. Observe any
technical requirements.
10.2.1 Replacing the sanding plate
(fig. 10)
1. Remove the sanding paper (9).
2. Insert the Allen key (13) into the hexago-
nal hole in the centre of the sanding plate
(8) and turn it clockwise to remove the
damaged sanding plate (8).
3. Insert the new sanding plate (8) and tight-
en it again.
10.2.2 Replacing the carbon brushes
The carbon brushes are wear parts that
wear out during use. The carbon brushes
should therefore be checked regularly. To
prevent damage to the circuit, the two car-
bon brushes must be replaced at the same
time.

The carbon brushes may only be re-
placed by authorised service personnel.
The device must only be used with both
brushes.
10.2.3 Replacing the sanding paper
(fig. 3)
m WARNING!
Pull out the mains plug!
1. Place the device on a level surface.
2. Pull the sanding paper (9) off the sanding
plate (8).
3. Replace it with a new one or another one
(see 8.2, steps 2 to 4).
10.2.4 Replacing the power supply line
Have a damaged power supply line of this
power tool replaced by the manufacturer or
the customer service or an equally qualified
person in order to avoid risks.
m WARNING!
There are no parts inside the power tool
which can be serviced by the operator!
Never open the power tool! Take it to a
qualified specialist for further mainte-
nance!
10.2.5 Service information
Please note that the following parts of this
product are subject to normal or natural
wear and that the following parts are there-
fore also required for use as consumables.
Wear parts*: Carbon brushes, sanding plate,
brush head, sanding paper
* Not necessarily included in the scope of
delivery!
