• Regular maintenance of the product will not only
ensure its durability and performance, but will al-
so help to dig your flowerbed carefully and easily.
• Perform a general check of the product at the end
of the season and remove all accumulated debris.
Always check the condition of the product prior to
the start of the season. Contact our customer ser-
vice centre for repairs.
13.2.1 Carbon brushes
If excessive sparks are formed, have an electrician
check the carbon brushes.
Danger! The carbon brushes must only be replaced
by an electrician.
14. Storage and transport (Fig. 9, 10)
Store the product and its accessories in a dark, dry and
frost-free place that is inaccessible to children.
The optimum storage temperature lies between 5 and
30 ˚C.
Store the product in its original packaging. Cover the
product to protect it from dust or moisture. Store the
operating instructions with the product.
Disconnect the product from the mains plug before
transport!
Loosen all four wing nuts (9) until you can fold in
the handle (1) and the upright U-bar (3) as shown.
Make sure that the mains cable (2) is not stretched or
pinched in the process. Also take care of your hands,
as there is a risk of crushing between the bars. The
product can now be carried by the upright U-bar (3).
The product can also be stored in this position to save
space.
15. Repair & ordering spare parts
After repairs or maintenance, make sure that all safe-
ty-related parts are installed and are in perfect con-
dition. All parts which may cause injury must be kept
where they are inaccessible to children or others.
Attention: According to the German Product Liability
Act, no liability is accepted for damage caused by im-
proper repairs or by not using original spare parts.

centre or an authorised specialist. The same applies to
accessory parts.
