11.1 Switching the product on/off (Fig. 8)
1.
To prevent the motor hoe from being switched on
unintentionally, the handle (1) is equipped with a
release button (11).
2.
The on/off switch (12) can only be pressed once
the release button (11) has been pressed.
3.
When the on/off switch (12) is released, the motor
hoe switches off.
4.
Test this process several times to ensure that the
product is working correctly.
11.2 Advice on how to work properly
Special care is required when working on embank-
ments and slopes. Always work across slopes. For
safety reasons, slopes with an inclination of more than
15 degrees must not be machined with the motor hoe.
Only use the product on soil that has already been
loosened. It must not be used to dig over lawns, for
example.
1.
Always ensure that you have a secure footing.
2.
Wear non-slip, grippy shoes and long trousers.
3.
Move the motor hoe slowly and carefully forwards.
4.
Work the surfaces in straight lines. Allow them
to overlap slightly to avoid leaving any streaks.
5.
Be particularly careful when moving backwards or
pulling the motor hoe, as there is a risk of tripping.
Danger!
The cutting roller continues to rotate for a few seconds
after the engine is switched off. Never try to stop the
cutting roller.
If the moving cutting roller hits an object, switch off the
motor hoe immediately and wait until the cutting roller
comes to a complete stop. Then check the condition
of the cutting roller. If damaged, it must be replaced.
Lay the connection cable looped, on the ground in
front of the socket you are using.
