16.1 Readjusting Bowden cable (cutter bar)
(Fig. 8, 9,)
Note:
You can adjust the Bowden cable of the drive lever (cut-
ter bar) (1).
1.
Loosen the respective lock nut (Bowden cable
cutter bar) (1a or 1b). Use two 12 AF open-ended
spanners for this.
2.
Turn the adjusting screw in the "R" or "L" direction
to increase or decrease the tension in the Bowden
cable. Turn the adjusting screw in small steps and
test the setting on the drive lever (cutter bar) again
and again.
3.
When the Bowden cable is correctly adjusted,
screw the respective lock nut (cutter bar Bowden
cable) (1a or 1b) tight again.
16.2 Readjusting Bowden cable (wheels) (Fig. 10, 11)
Note:
You can adjust the Bowden cable of the drive lever
(wheels) (13).
1.
Loosen the respective lock nut (Bowden cable
drive) (13a or 13b). Use two 12 AF open-ended
spanners for this.
2.
Turn the adjusting screw in the "R" or "L" direction to in-
crease or decrease the tension in the Bowden cable.
Turn the adjusting screw in small steps and test the
setting on the drive lever (cutter bar) again and again.
3.
When the Bowden cable is correctly adjusted,
screw the respective lock nut (cutter bar Bowden
cable) (1a or 1b) tight again.
Note:
• The mower or the travel drive may only start moving
after half of the lever travel.
• The clutch cables (Bowden cables) must be adjust-
ed without play when the clutch lever is released.
However, they must not be too tight either. It must be
possible to fully actuate the clutch lever.
16.3 Cleaning the filter (12) (Fig. 14)
Contaminated air filters (12) diminish the engine output
due to reduced air supply to the carburettor. Regular
inspection is therefore essential.
