Replacing the clearing plate
see Figure 9
1. Tip the machine backwards.
2. Remove the 4 screws of the worn clearing
plate.
3. Remove the clearing plate.
4. Attach the new clearing plate to the housing
using the screws. (9-4)
5. Tip the machine forward again and check the
setting.

STORAGE

If the machine is stored for a long period of time,
for example, after the winter season, heed the fol-
lowing:
CAUTION!
risk of explosion!
Do not store the machine near an
open flame or heat source.
Empty the carburettor.
Start the engine.
Close the fuel tap.
Wait until the engine dies.

TROUBLESHOOTING

CAUTION!
Always unplug the mains plug and wait for the motor to come to a complete stop before perfor-
ming any work on the machine.

Possible cause
No mains power present.
Machine cable defective.
Auger or discharge chute clogged.
Drive belt torn or loose.
Too much snow in the discharge
chute.
Foreign objects in the auger
Allow the engine to cool.
Store in a dry area that is inaccessible to
children and unauthorised persons.
Either empty the petrol tank
Remove the engine key.
Disconnect the spark plug connector.

REPAIRS

Professional inspection
Repairs may be performed only by qualified work-
shops.
Always have a qualified workshop perform an in-
spection:
After running onto an obstacle
If the engine stops suddenly
If the auger is damaged.

DISPOSAL

Do not dispose of old
equipment,batteries or accumulators
as householdwaste!
Product, packaging, and accessories
were made with recyclable materials, and
should be disposed of accordingly.
Solution
Check house fuse/extension cable.
Contact your AL-KO service centre/
authorised specialist.
Stop the motor, disconnect the ma-
chine from the power supply. Clear the
clogging.
Replace the drive belt.
Clean discharge chute/housing.
Remove the foreign objects
