Operating Guidelines
• Make certain that no strap or other portion of the golf bag is loose. The golf bag
should be installed on the Golf Bag Carrier so that any attached stand, strapping
or any other parts of the golf bag are secured by the Golf Bag Carrier straps. If any
part of your golf bag comes into contact with the Segway PT wheel, the rider could
lose control, resulting in falls, collisions, and injury.
• Riding a Segway PT with the Golf Bag Carrier and golf bag is different from
riding a Segway PT without a Golf Bag Carrier. After you install the Golf Bag
Carrier and golf bag on the Segway PT, you should take plenty of time to practice
riding the Segway PT on a surface with good traction, away from all potential
obstacles and distractions, to acquaint yourself with the differences.
• The Golf Bag Carrier will prevent emergency dismounts to the front or sides.
You must ride with extra care to avoid any slip, trip, or tip of the Segway PT (as
described in the Getting Started Manual and Safety DVD).
• Don't exceed the weight limits. The combined weight of the Segway PT rider and
all cargo should not exceed 260 lbs. (118 kg.). The Golf Bag Carrier weighs 10 lbs.
(4.5 kg.). You should check to make sure that the combined weight of the rider
plus the golf bag and any other cargo carried by the rider or on the Segway PT
does not exceed 260 lbs. (118 kg.).
• Increased weight on one side increases the risk of tipping over. The Golf Bag
Carrier increases the risk that the Segway PT might tip over to the side with the
Carrier. The greater the weight of the golf bag, the greater the risk. You must turn
with extra care and you must be especially careful when crossing any slope or
riding with one wheel higher than the other to reduce the risk of tipping over to the
side.
• If your Segway PT is equipped with a Parking Stand, do not use the Parking
Stand when a golf bag carrier is attached to the Segway PT. The Parking Stand is
not designed to support the golf bag carrier.

Using the x2 Golf Bag Carrier on the Golf Course
Make sure you understand and follow all rules and regulations of the golf course.
1. After arriving at your ball or parking spot, come to a complete stop and step off
normally, as described in the Getting Started Manual and Safety DVD. Remember
never to let go of the Segway PT while it is in Balance Mode.
2. Tap the Power / Standby Button on the InfoKey™ to put the Segway PT into
Standby Mode. Check the Display to make ensure that the Face Icon is not present.
3. Lean the Segway PT backwards so that it is resting on the bottom of the Golf
Bag Carrier. You can now select your clubs and play your shot.
4. After replacing your clubs in the golf bag, tilt the Segway PT forward until the
Powerbase is level. Remember, the Segway PT will not enter Balance Mode unless
the Powerbase is level.
5. Tap the mat with your foot to put the Segway PT into Balance Mode. Check to
make sure that the Segway PT is in Balance Mode by making sure that the InfoKey
Display shows a smiling Face Icon (see Diagram A.), The balance indicator lights
are pulsing green in a circular pattern (See Diagram B.), and that the Segway PT
moves its wheels in response to movement of the LeanSteer™ Frame.
6. Step on normally as described in the Getting Started Manual and Safety DVD.
You're off to the next shot!
