Preparing the device for use / handling of the barndoors

Expect from the model with a round design in the walimex Pro Soft LED series, the
lamps in this series have removable light flaps. On models 800 and 1200, the 2
flaps are fixed with removable screws. On 1400 and 2400 models, 4 light flaps are
built-in into an assembly frame with quick lock clips. When delivered, the light flaps
are already installed in holding frames on the lights. Please follow these assembly /
disassembly instructions for the correct handling of the barndoors.
• Move the light with the light surface upwards into a horizontal position (lay
down).
• L ay the light flaps attached to the assembly frame first of all loosely on the top of
the lamp without touching the lamp surface or damaging it.
• I nsert the flaps into the 4 attachment clips in the shock protection caps (15) of
the external corners of the housing. Pull the clips outwards, slide the light flap
mounts into the clip slots and lock everything again with the attachment clips.
• Take care not to insert the flaps at an angle.
• Check to ensure that the light flaps are securely in place.
• The light flaps are ready for use.
• To disassemble the flaps, do the same in reverse order.
Note (only models 1400 and 2400)
When closing the 4 light flaps on models 1400 and 2400, first of all close the
smaller light flaps on the side and then the flaps at the top and bottom.

8. Assembly of the power adapter holder on the V-Mount battery
slot
(models 1400 and 1500)
You can use the built-in V-mount battery slots on models 1400 and 1500 as a holder
for the power adapter unit. The power adapter units for models 1400 and 1500 are
fitted with an additional attachment frame including adapter slots for V-mount batte-
ries on the rear of each of the power adapter units.
• S lide the power adapter unit with the assembly frame – viewed from the rear –
from left to right into the battery slot.
• A click indicates that the holder frame has been locked in place.
• To remove the frame again, press the locking button (3) of the battery slot and
remove the power adapter unit by pulling it out to the left.
Note
Alternatively, on models 1400 and 1500, you can attach the power adapter units
with the supplied velcro fastening straps. Make sure that the power adapter units
are not attached too tightly. If the power adapter unit is not secured with additional
means, constant pressure will be exerted on the XLR power connection plug. This
leads to wear and can damage the socket. We strongly recommend the usage of
the ac adapter frames in the v-mount holders for cable usage.
