The operator must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). If the
machine is in use, you must wear protective glasses against objects
projected in the air, you must wear hearing protection such as an
acoustically insulated helmet.
Do not use the lawnmower if the blade or safety grills are damaged or without
guards attached, for example deflectors and/or the collection bag.
(depending on the equipment of the car)
Do not adjust or change engine speed settings.
Do not leave the engine running indoors as dangerous carbon monoxide gas
can accumulate.
Check the functionality of the engine stop lever before each use. When you
release it, the engine and implicitly the cutting blade must stop. In case of
contract, do not use the machine. Do not disable the machine's safety
systems. Contact an authorized RURIS service.
Turn off the machine's engine before refueling and when moving away from
the machine.
Do not tilt the engine or equipment at an angle that could cause fuel to spill.
Before making repairs or adjustments, disconnect the spark plug wire and
keep it away from the spark plug. Accidental sparks may cause fire or electric
shock.
Do not use the lawnmower when it is raining or when there are electrical
discharges in the atmosphere.
You may not:
Operate near debris, ditches or the edge of dikes.
Mow sloping surfaces with an angle greater than 15 degrees as you risk imbalance.
Mow the wet lawn.
Work around children.
2.2 SUPPORT
Be sure when using gasoline or other fuels. They are highly flammable and can
catch fire. Use a fuel canister.
Do not refuel the car when the engine is running. Allow the engine to cool for at
least 2 minutes before refueling.
Screw on the tank cap carefully and wipe off any traces of petrol before starting the
engine.
Do not power the machine in closed areas.
Do not store the machine or fuel canister in enclosed spaces where there are
sources of fire such as gas stoves, stoves or chimneys.
To reduce the risk of fire, keep the car without fuel. Allow the machine to cool for at
least 5 minutes before storing.
Check the blade and motor bolts at frequent intervals for proper tightness. Then
visually inspect the knife for damage (eg bends, cracks, overuse). Tighten all nuts
and bolts securely to keep the equipment in optimal working condition.
Do not walk to safety parts. Check their operation.
After hitting a foreign object, stop the engine and thoroughly inspect the
lawnmower.
