Connecting the flow sensor

• Connect the flow sensor (2) with the Y-piece (1) of the hose
system and connect the patient-side ventilation hose (3) to the
output of the flow sensor.
• Connect the connecting lead (4) of the flow sensor to the
ventilator (please follow the detailed instructions in the
instructions for use of the ventilator).

Calibrating the flow sensor
The flow sensor must be calibrated prior to patient use.

• Please follow the detailed instructions in the instructions for use
of the ventilator to calibrate the flow sensor.
• Calibrate the flow sensor regularly, after switching on the
ventilator and after each sensor replacement.

Storage and transport
• Store the flow sensor in a dry place protected from light.

• Observe the maximum storage times for sterile good in
accordance with DIN 58953 Part 8.
• Avoid recontamination and damage during transport.
