Validated preparation procedure
Use only cleaning and disinfection devices (CDDs) which comply
with ISO 15883 specifications for automatic preparation.
Automatic cleaning:
Pre-cleaning with mains water
Cleaning
with mains water
and neodischer
Rinse
with demineralized water
Disinfection
with demineralized water
Pre-drying
in the CDD
End drying:
End drying of the flow sensors is absolutely essential!
• Remove the flow sensor from the CDD and shake all remaining
moisture out of the sensor in all directions
(Caution! Do not knock the flow sensor).
• End dry the flow sensor in the drying cabinet.
Recommended drying time 30 min at 85°C

Sterilization (alternative to disinfection):
• Observe DIN EN ISO 17665 as a basic requirement.
• Sterilize the flow sensor with steam (as required) in an
autoclave at e.g. ≥ 134°C for 5 to 18 min.
Check:
• Carefully check that the surfaces of the flow sensor are clean
and undamaged.
• Dispose of the sensor in case of visible damage.
Packing for keeping/storage:
• Pack the flow sensor individually in paper/film or in an
equivalent packing of suitable size in accordance with DIN EN
ISO 11607-1:2006 in connection with DIN EN 868.
• Do not use sterile goods packaging for disinfected products.
(The packaging usually consists of mechanical protective packing
and an outer packing, if necessary, regardless of the sterilization
type.)
