Recommended treatment duration

At the beginning shorter treatment durations are recommended. This will allow
you to judge whether you can tolerate the treatment or if perhaps side-effects
have occurred. Observe those parts of the skin which have been treated and check
for possible reactions. Immediately discontinue treatment if there are signs of
over-sensitivity or allergic reactions and consult your doctor.
We would recommend one to two treatment sessions daily, each of approximately
30 to 60 minutes duration. Where acute injuries are involved treatment can be
carried out over the course of several days. With chronic pain treatment can be
carried out over the course of several weeks.

After treatment

Switch off the lamp with the Power button and remove the power plug from the
socket. Allow the heating lamp to cool down for at least 15 minutes before putting
away.

Replacing the heating head

The heating head should be replaced after 1,000 operating hours because the
natural constituent parts of the heating plate have reached the end of their
working life. For reasons of safety the complete heating head must be replaced,
not only the heating plate. For replacement purposes use only original spare parts
of the same type (CQ-BS8). Proceed as follows:

First ensure that the heating head has cooled right down and that the power
cable has been disconnected.

Unscrew the plug sleeve (A) back and detach, remove plug (B) from the socket.
»
Unscrew the butterfly nuts (C) and remove the old heating head (D).
»
Insert the new heating head, tighten the butterfly nuts and re-connect the plug
with the heating head socket.
