E: EAR PROTECTION
Only use ear protectors which have been type approved and authorised for use with your protective hel-
met. For further details and explanatory notes regarding use and special characteristics of the ear-muffs,
please refer to the respective instruction manuals.
F: NECK GUARD
1. Attachment
First place the neck guard's large central flap (A) between the inner and the outer helmet shell at the
back of the helmet and then attach the neck guard to the helmet using the 4 locking pins (B) at the side
(Fig. 6b). The wraparound flap must be secured between the inner and outer helmet shell.
2. Removal
First release the 4 locking pins (B) on the side by gently moving the neck guard backwards and forwards,
then pull out the large central neck guard flap (A) out of the well at the back of the helmet (Fig. 6c).
G: ERVICE LIFE/ MONITORING SERVICEABILITY
The helmet absorbs the energy of a (hard) knock (or impact) along with partial damage or destruction
of the helmet. Even if damage is not evident, every helmet should then be replaced. The full protective
function can no longer be entirely ensured. The same is true if a helmet no longer fits properly.
The CASCO PF 100 Rescue has a very long service life – no binding discard or expiry date. The service
life is dependent on those causative factors or conditions of service to which it has been exposed. Since
the shock-absorption parts of the interior construction are not overtly subject to external influences, we
recommend precautionary helmet replacement after 10 years.
CARRY OUT REGULAR VISUAL CONTROLS AND SPECIFICALLY IN CASES OF PARTICULAR OCCURRENCE.
This helps to identify any reduction in helmet performance!
H: STORAGE
Protective helmets are to be stored away from sunlight in a cool, dry spot. Avoid direct exposure to sun-
light to prevent possible damage through UV rays.
I: PACKAGING AND TRANSPORT
The helmet is individually packed and delivered ex-factory. This can be used for transportation.
J: GUARANTEE
Your helmet comes with a 24-month guarantee for material or production faults under normal conditions
of use. CASCO repairs, replaces or refunds at its own discretion. A condition for filing a warranty claim is
free-to-factory delivery of the helmet. The helmet must not have been altered from its original condition
and/or been damaged by wrongful use in any way.
K: HELMET LABELLING
All protective helmets are furnished with production date, type, size and European standard specification
and the symbol for optional safety related requirements. The labelling can be found on the front inner
side of the helmet shell.
