4.3 Making adjustments
4.3.1 Selecting channels
The wireless transmission is made in the 2.4 GHz
range which has been divided by the manufacturer
into five channels with a distance of 14 MHz. As a
maximum, three channels can be used simulta-
neously (channels 1, 3, and 5) as two adjacent chan-
nels will interfere with each other. If two channels are
required, several combinations are possible:
channel 1 with channel 3, 4, or 5
channel 2 with channel 4 or 5
channel 3 with channel 5
Set the transmitter to the desired channel with the
button "+" or "-" (5). The selected channel is dis-
played in the window between the two adjusting but-
tons. (If the channel is set to 0 or to 6 – 9, no signal is
transmitted.)
4.3.2 Activating the coding
It is possible to code the video transmission if the
receiver can also be adjusted to negative video signal
polarity. In this case, it is impossible to reproduce the
camera picture with a receiver without polarity selec-
tion.
1) Set the switch "video" (9) to the corresponding
position:
scramble The video transmission is coded (video
signal with negative polarity)
normal
The video transmission is not coded
(video signal with positive polarity)
2) Make the corresponding adjustment on the re-
ceiver (see operating instructions of the receiver).
In case of receivers without selection, always set
the switch "video" to the position "normal".
5 Operation
1) Switch on the transmitter with the switch "power"
(1). The power LED (2) lights up.
2) Select the operating mode with the selector switch
"time/cont." (7):
a) For continuous operation of the transmitter, set
the switch to the position "cont.".
b) For temporary operation of the transmitter, set
the switch to the position "time".
In this operating mode, the transmitter is auto-
matically switched on if the internal motion
detector has detected a movement in the
camera picture [set the switch "moving detec-
tor" (8) to the position "on"] or if a corresponding
signal is applied to the jack "trigger" (see chap-
ter 4.2.3). If no further movement is detected or
if no longer a signal is applied to the jack "trig-
ger", the transmitter is switched off again at the
expiration of the time adjusted with the control
"trigger" (6) [approx. 1 second to 4 minutes].
Hint: The temporary operation is ideally suited for
operation with several cameras and transmit-
ters and for operation with a receiver with auto-
matic change-over (e. g. AV-3010RDS from
MONACOR).
Note: The motion detector evaluates changes in
brightness in the centre of the camera picture,
e. g. by a moving person. Correct response of
the detector requires sufficient illumination of
the area to be monitored and optimum align-
ment of the camera.
3) The control channel can either be activated via the
jack "switching channel" (11) or manually via the
button "switching channel" (3). Via the control
channel, e. g. the buzzer of the receiver or a signal
device connected to the receiver can be activated
(see operating instructions of the receiver).
Caution! The button "switching channel" is con-
nected to the jack "switching channel". If a voltage
is applied to this jack, it will be short-circuited upon
actuation of the button!
