1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten
Der Übertrager PATL-100 (100 V Public Ad dress to
Line) ist speziell für die Umsetzung eines 100-V-ELA-
Signals in ein Line-Eingangssignal entwickelt worden.
Damit ist es möglich, an jeder Stelle der 100-V-Leitung
einen Abgriff für einen zusätzlichen NF-Verstärker mit
Line-Eingang zu erhalten. Der PATL-100 arbeitet pas-
siv, d. h. er benötigt keine Betriebsspannung.
Durch die Kombination verschiedener Umsteck-
möglichkeiten im Innern des Gerätes und durch ein
von außen zugängliches Trimmpotentiometer kann
der PATL-100 für fast alle elektrischen ELA-Einheiten
angepasst werden.
2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht allen erforderlichen Richtlinien
der EU und ist deshalb mit gekennzeichnet.

Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung im Innenbereich
geeignet. Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritz was-
ser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hit ze (zulässiger Ein-
satztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder
Wasser.

Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch angeschlos-
sen oder nicht fachgerecht re pa riert, kann keine

1 Applications
The transformer PATL-100 (100 V public address to
line) has been specially designed for transforming a
100 V PA signal into a line input signal. Thus, it is pos-
sible to insert an additional AF amplifier with line input
at any position of the 100 V line. The PATL-100 oper-
ates in a passive mode, i. e. it does not require any
operating voltage.
Due to the combination of various jumper arrange-
ments within the unit and a trimming potentiometer
accessible from the outside, the PATL-100 can be
matched to almost any electric PA units.
2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all required directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
chemicals or water.

No guarantee claims for the unit or liability for any
resulting personal damage or material damage will
be accepted if the unit is used for other purposes
than originally intended, if it is not correctly connect -
ed or not repaired in an expert way.

3 Ausgangsspannung anpassen
Werksseitig ist die Steckkombination „A" und „2" für
eine effektive Ausgangsspannung von 1,6 V bei einer
Eingangsspannung von 100 V eingestellt. Wird ein
anderer Pegel benötigt, diesen durch Um stecken der
Brücken im Gerät einstellen. Diese Modifikation darf
nur bei nicht angeschlossenem Gerät erfolgen! In
der unten stehenden Tabelle sind die Steckmöglich-
keiten angegeben.
Zur Feineinstellung kann der Ausgangspegel mit
dem Trimmpotentiometer neben dem XLR-Anschluss
re duziert werden. Die Ausgangsspannung ist jedoch
immer von der Eingangsspannung abhängig, d. h. sie
verändert sich, wenn die Laut stärke am PA-Verstärker
geändert wird.
4 Anschlüsse

3 Matching the Output Voltage
In the factory, the combination "A" and "2" of the jump -
ers for an effective output voltage of 1.6 V at an input
voltage of 100 V is preset. If a different level is re -
quired, adjust this level by rearranging the jumpers in
the unit. For this modification, the unit must be dis-
con nected! The table below lists the possible ar-
rangements.
For fine adjustment, it is possible to reduce the out-
put level with the trimming potentiometer next to the
XLR connector. However, the output voltage always
de pends on the input voltage, i. e. it will change with
the volume adjusted on the PA amplifier.

4 Connections
WARNING During operation, there is a hazard of

1) Als Signaleingang dient die 2-polige Schraubklem-
me. Diese mit der 100-V-ELA-Leitung verbinden.
Die Klemme lässt sich zur besseren Hand -
habung aus ihrer Steckverbindung vom Gerät
abziehen und nach dem Anschluss an schließend
wieder aufstecken.
2) Den Line-Eingang des anzuschließenden Gerätes
mit dem XLR-Anschluss des Übertragers verbin-
den. Der XLR-Einbaustecker des PATL-100 ist wie
folgt belegt:
