1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Mit dieser passiven Übertragungseinheit lassen sich
Videosignale von z. B. vier Überwachungskameras über
verdrillte Telefonleitungen oder CAT-5-Netzwerkkabel lei-
ten. Für den Betrieb ist jeweils eine Übertragungseinheit
am Anfang und am Ende der Leitung erforderlich. Bei der
Übertragung von Farbsignalen sind Kabellängen bis zu
400 m möglich, bei S/W-Signalen bis zu 600 m.
2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Die Übertragungseinheit entspricht allen relevanten Richt-
linien der EU und ist deshalb mit

Verwenden Sie die Übertragungseinheit nur im Innen-
bereich. Schützen Sie sie vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser,

1 Applications
This passive transmission unit allows transmission of
video signals, e. g. of four surveillance cameras, via twist-
ed telephone cables or CAT 5 network cables. For opera-
tion, one transmission unit each at the beginning and the
end of the cable is required. For transmission of colour sig-
nals, a maximum cable length of 400 m is possible, for
B/W signals a maximum length of 600 m.
2 Safety Notes
The transmission unit corresponds to all relevant direc-
tives of the EU and is therefore marked with

1 Possibilités dʼutilisation
Avec cette unité de transmission passive, les signaux
vidéo par exemple de quatre caméras de surveillance
peuvent être transmis via des câbles téléphone torsadés
ou des câbles réseau CAT-5. Pour le fonctionnement, une
unité de transmission est nécessaire respectivement au
début et en fin de la ligne. Pour la transmission de signaux
couleur, des longueurs de câble jusquʼà 400 m sont pos-
sibles, pour des signaux noir & blanc, jusquʼà 600 m.
2 Conseils dʼutilisation et de sécurité
Lʼunité de transmission répond à toutes les directives néces-
saires de lʼUnion européenne et porte donc le symbole

Soll die Übertragungseinheit endgültig aus dem
Betrieb genommen werden, übergeben Sie sie
zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem örtlichen
Recyclingbetrieb.
3 Anschluss
Die Übertragungseinheiten entsprechend der Abbildung
gekennzeichnet.

liability for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the transmission unit is used
for other purposes than originally intended or if it is not
correctly connected.
If the transmission unit is to be put out of opera-
tion definitively, take it to a local recycling plant for
a disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.
3 Connection
Connect the transmission units to the transmission cable

figure below shows an example for connection with four
surveillance cameras, a quad processor, and a monitor.

3 Branchement

angeschlossen werden. Die Aderpaare für die einzelnen
Videoleitungen sollten verdrillt sein, um eine höhere Stör-
festigkeit zu erreichen.
Anstelle einer 4-Kanal-Übertragungseinheit können
auf einer Anschlussseite auch vier 1-Kanal-Übertragungs -
einheiten (z. B. VB-100V von MONACOR) verwendet wer-
den, wenn z. B. die Kameras weit auseinander liegen.

Connect the transmission cable alternatively to the plug-in
terminals or to the RJ 45 jack. The pairs of wires for the
individual video lines should be twisted to ensure a higher
resistance to interference.
Instead of a 4-channel transmission unit, it is also pos-
sible to use four 1-channel transmission units (e. g.
MONACOR VB-100V) on one side of connection, e. g. if
there is a great distance between the cameras.
