Traffic radio
— If the AIM memory is full, the oldest traffic
announcements are erased.
AIM memory stand-by
If the car radio is switched on and a traffic
radio station is tuned (>TP< in display, for
EON stations the (J button must be "activa-
ted"), AIM memory standby is always availa-
ble.
When the car radio is switched
off:
- AIM memory (On).
— Traffic announcement station is selected:
>TP< is in display (before switching off!)
~ Aerial is ready to receive.
~ With TIMER pre-selection:
Switch-on time(s) set.
Listening to AIM memory
Briefly press GE) button; in display...

> M07 06:15<:
~ 7 traffic announcements in memory.
— First you will hear the latest (most current)
traffic announcement (M07) from 6:15.
~ You will hear all messages in sequence.

Note*
AIM memory is not on stand-by when the car
if before you switch the radio off
>NO AIM< is in display.
With AIM memory stand-by on and car
radio
switched off:
- Traffic announcements more than 6 hours
old are erased.
- If TIMER is selected and the car radio has
not been switched on for one week, the
TIMER selection is switched off (power con-
- sumption) until the car radio is switched on
once again.
~ For vehicles which indicate "power con-
sumption" with a signal when the ignition is
off, the unit must be connected directly to
the battery (see Installation and removal,
page 1-28).

Prerequisite
Radio stations offer the "Programme types"
service in the FM range (U |, U Il, U Hl).
Programme types
The programme types a radio station offers
change according to the programme being
broadcast.
>PTY< in display, as long as the selected pro-
gramme type is available.
Exception: >NO PTY< is set and the tuned sta-
tion offers no programme type.
NOPTY

Politics and current affairs

Special talk programme
(e.g., consumers" magazine)
