Inserting the control pane!
Insert control panel into the locking catches in
the unit cutout from above (below).
Control panel swung out
Then push on the top of the control panel until
it snaps in.
Switch on the car radio using the rotary knob
(push).
In case of loss of the control panel,
replacement can be made at an additional
charge upon proof of ownership (e.g. Identity
Card). Please consult your dealer.
Switching on and off

— with the ignition/starter switch
of the car, if the car radio was previously
switched off using the ignition/starter
switch.

Switching on for 1 hour max.
If the car radio was switched off with the igni-
tion/starter switch of the car, you can switch it
on for a maximum of 1 hour using the rotary
knob (press).
- If the ignition/starter switch remains off, the
car radio automatically switches itself off
after 1 hour.
~ If you wish to switch the car radio off
sooner, press the rotary knob.
It is possible to switch the car radio on
repeatedly.
Phone mode
Connection option for car telephone or CB
radio.
Mute
The car radio is "muted" during operation of
the car telephone or the CB radio.
Speaker phone
when radio is switched on.
When you use the telephone you can also use
the car radio to listen to the conversation
trough the speakers.
The additional telephone speaker must remain
connected (otherwise no calltone when car
radio is switched off)!
While you "listen trough the speakers" you
can set volume, bass, treble, and volume rela-
tionships as required. The settings are retai-
ned for phone mode.

EASY CONTROL
What does EASY CONTROL mean?
SIMPLEST POSSIBLE OPERATION,
the clear organisation of the user surface of the car radio in three separate function blocks
makes orientation extremely easy.
FEW BUTTONS,
with which only the important functions of the car radio are operated directly.
CONFIRMATION MESSAGES
on the function mode through colour alteration of the button symbol or
through sound signals.
MULTI-FUNCTION BUTTONS
indicate only the current button allocation and thus reduce superfluous information noticeably.
EXPERT
26 "possible" settings, without losing the overview.
To make operation of the car radio as simple as possible, a large number of settings which you
require only once or occasionally are located in an additional operating level (EXPERT).
If you wish to return to the works settings:
Switch the car radio off.
Press memory position button 5 and the rotary knob for longer than 6 seconds, until a signal
sounds.
EXPERT settings are to be found in the section starting on page 1-25.
