Safety Instructions
Read all the safety and general instructions.
Failure to observe the safety and general in-
structions may result in electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
Save all safety warnings and instructions for future ref-
erence.
The term drive unit is used in these instructions to mean all
original Bosch drive units from the system generation the
smart system.
Read and observe the safety warnings and instruc-
u
tions contained in all the operating instructions for
the eBike components and in the operating instruc-
tions of your eBike.
Please note that eShift can shift gears while in motion,

without you actively pedalling. This process can be ini-
tiated manually via the gear lever or automatically by
eShift. On a derailleur system, this means that the drive
unit moves the chainring independently. This also moves
all parts of the drive and its associated components (e.g.
brake disc on the rear wheel). This poses a risk of injury.
The availability of the function depends on the specifica-
tion of your eBike components and how they are con-
figured. For more details, please refer to the bicycle man-
ufacturer's operating instructions.
Remove the eBike battery from the eBike before be-

ginning work (e.g. inspection, repair, assembly, main-
tenance, work on the chain, etc.) on the eBike. With
built-in eBike batteries, please take particular precau-
tions so that the eBike cannot be switched on. There is
a risk of injury if the eBike is accidentally activated.

Bosch eBike Systems
General Information
eShift is the integration of electronic gear shifting systems
into the eBike from the system generation the smart sys-
tem.
Note: Further information can be found in the manufac-
turer's operating instructions for the gearing and the bicycle.
So as to be able to use the full functionality of eShift, a com-
patible smartphone with the eBike Flow app may be re-
quired. This depends on the specification of your eBike com-
ponents and how they are configured.
Using the eBike Flow app, a Bluetooth® connection can be
established between the smartphone and the eBike, as well
as between the smartphone and eShift.
Depending on the smartphone's operating sys-
tem, the eBike Flow app can be downloaded
free of charge from the Apple App Store and
the Google Play Store.
Use your smartphone to scan the code in order
to download the eBike Flow app.

eShift with enviolo AUTOMATiQ
Depending on the cadence you set, eShift adjusts the relev-
ant transmission ratio (gear) to suit your speed, so that you
ride at a constant cadence.
eShift without display/with Intuvia 100
The required cadence is set via the eBike Flow app or altern-
atively via the enviolo AUTOMATiQ app (both available in
the Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
eShift with Kiox 300/Kiox 500/Kiox 400C/
Purion 200/Purion 400
To use eShift with enviolo, you can use the control unit to
change the required cadence while riding.
Press the select button on your control unit for more than 1 s
and then select <eShift>.
You can find information about the version of your gear sys-
tem in the menu <Settings> → <My eBike> → <Compon-
ents>.
