2.2 Safety instructions for operation
Warning! If you do not obey these instructions,
there is a risk of death or injury.
● Make sure that you know the functions of the product
and how they are used before you operate the
product.
● Make sure that these persons do not operate the
product independently:
• Children less than 8 years
• Persons who do not know the product sufficiently
• Persons with disabilities.
● Do not operate the product when other persons,
especially children, or pets are in the adjacent area.
● Petrol is highly flammable and can be explosive. To
prevent fire and explosion:
• Keep the fuel in an approved container.
• Always refuel the product outdoors.
• Do not smoke when you refuel the product.
• Refuel the product before use or let it become cool
before it you refuel it.
• Do not remove the fuel cap or add fuel when
product operates.
• If you spill fuel, the product must be moved away
from the spilled fuel before you start it.
• Make sure to attach the fuel cap and fuel tank
guard correctly.
● Stop the product, remove the spark plug cap and let
all moving parts have come to a complete stop in the
following situations:
• Before you remove a blockage or clean the ejector.
• Before you examine, clean or do maintenance on
the product.
• Before you examine the product after it has hit an
object.
• If the product vibrates unusually.
• Before you leave the product.
• Before you refuel the product.
● Take pauses regularly during operation to prevent
circulation injuries from the vibrations.
● Operation during long periods of time in low
temperatures can cause blood vessel injuries. Get
medical aid if symptoms like numbness, pain,
weakness, swelling, changes in skin colour or loss of
feeling in fingers, hands and joints occur.
● The muffler must be replaced or repaired if it is
damaged.
