Troubleshooting
Problem
The product makes unusual noise
and vibrates more than normal.
The product does not start.
The engine does not run smoothly.
The grass is not level after mowing.
All of the grass does not go into the
grass catcher.
Possible cause
The screws of the product are not
correctly tightened.
The blade retainer screws are loose.
The blade is not balanced.
The spark plug is damaged.
The blades are worn or damaged.
There is no fuel in the fuel tank.
The engine is flooded.
The air filter is dirty.
The spark plug is dirty.
The blades are blunt.
The mowing height is too low.
The blades are worn.
The grass catcher is full.
The mowing height is too high or too
low.
The grass is wet.
There is a blockage of the ejector
opening guard.
The bottom of the deck of the
product is clogged
Task
Tighten the screws.
Tighten the blade retainer screws.
Refer to an approved service center
to replace the blade set.
Replace the spark plug. Refer to "7.2
To clean or replace the spark plug"
on page 13.
Refer to an approved service center
to replace the blade set.
Refuel the product.
Remove the spark plug, clean and
replace it. Refer to "7.2 To clean or
replace the spark plug" on page
13.
Clean the air filter. Refer to "7.3 To
clean the air filter" on page 13.
Clean the spark plug. Refer to "7.2 To
clean or replace the spark plug" on
page 13.
Refer to approved personnel to
sharpen the blades.
Set the product to the applicable
mowing height. Refer to "4.3 To
adjust the mowing height" on page
10.
Refer to an approved service center
to replace the blade set.
Remove the grass from the grass
catcher.
Set the product to the applicable
mowing height. Refer to "4.3 To
adjust the mowing height" on page
10.
Wait until the grass has become dry.
Clean the ejector opening and the
ejector opening guard.
Clean the bottom of the deck of the
product.
