5. Special conditions for safe use (X-conditions)
5.2.2 Transmitter model T38.H-*C** (head-mounted version, Ex ic)
Installation in safe area or area with EPL Gc requirements:
The transmitter must be mounted in a case that meets a minimum ingress protection

of IP20 in accordance with EN 60529.
With the installation of the transmitter in a case, the inner wiring, air and creep
■
distances and separation distances must be in accordance with EN IEC 60079-11.
5.2.3 Transmitter model T38.H-*E** (head-mounted version, Ex ec)
Installation in safe area or area with EPL Gc requirements:
The transmitter must be mounted in a case that meets a minimum ingress protection
■
of IP54 in accordance with IEC 60079-0.
The instrument must be installed in an area with at least pollution degree 2.
■
With the installation of the transmitter in a case, the inner wiring, air and creep
■
distances and separation distances must be in accordance with EN IEC 60079-7.
5.2.4 Transmitter model T38.R-*I** (rail-mounted version, Ex ia)
The use of the PU + and - connections is only permitted outside of the Ex atmosphere
and if the + and - connections are not connected.
Installation in area with EPL Gb requirements:
The transmitter must be mounted in such a way that electrostatic charging effects are
excluded.
Installation in area with Db requirements:
The transmitter must be mounted in a case that is suitable for installation in areas
with EPL Db and ensures a minimum ingress protection of IP6x in accordance with
EN IEC 60079-0 and in which electrostatic charging effects are excluded.
5.2.5 Transmitter model T38.R-*C** (rail-mounted version, Ex ic)
The transmitter must be mounted in such a way that electrostatic charging effects are

excluded.
The use of the PU + and - connections is only permitted outside of the Ex
■
atmosphere and if the + and - connections are not connected.
5.2.6 Transmitter model T38.R-*E*** (rail-mounted version, Ex ec)
The transmitter must be mounted in a case that meets a minimum ingress protection
■
of IP54 in accordance with IEC 60079-0 and in which electrostatic charging effects
are excluded.
The instrument must be installed in an area with at least pollution degree 2.
■
The use of the PU + and - connections is only permitted outside of the Ex
■
atmosphere and if the + and - connections are not connected.
