5 Replacing the spare parts
5.3 Mounting the actuator
1. Place spring set 7 either in actuator top 10 or on mem-
brane plate 6.
Important:
▶ Note the installation position of spring set 7. Arrange
identical spring sets symmetrically in the centre.
2. Position actuator top 10 so that the hole patterns of actu-
ator top 10, actuator membrane 14 and actuator base 16
are aligned.
3. Clamp the actuator in a press.
Applied pressure too high!
▶ Risk of breakage of actuator top 10!
Only use minimum required pressure.

4. Bolt actuator top 10 and actuator base 16 properly with
bolts 12 and washers, working diagonally.

Important:
▶ Bolts 12 between actuator top 10 and actuator base 16
must always be inserted from below.
5. Slowly release the press.
6. Place protective caps 29 on bolts 12.
7. Mount optical position indicator SA1.
8. Screw in protective cap SA2.
9. Reconnect the control medium.
10. Check the tightness and the function of the product (close
and reopen the product).
5.4 After the installation
1. Flush the piping system for new plants and after repair
work (the product must be fully open).
ð Harmful foreign matter has been removed.
ð The product is ready for use.
2. Commission the product.
3. Commission the actuators in accordance with the operat-
ing instructions.
