There is no need to wait for the red heating
control lamp „f" to go off.

ON/OFF switch „c" (leave the rotary switch
„e" in the same position).
Let the solution take effect for 10-15
minutes, then switch the appliance back on
and allow the rest of the solution to pass
through.
Repeat the process as required.
How to descale the steam tube

Proceed as for „How to descale the unit
heater", but set the rotary switch „e" to
the steam position
Place a vessel below the steam tube.

Note
After descaling, it is absolutely necessary
to allow 1-2 times the volume of the
reservoir of fresh water to run through the
appliance before putting it back into use.
Screw the brewing filter back into place.

Eliminating problems

COFFEE RUNS DOWN THE SIDE OF THE
FILTER HOLDER
Filter holder not properly in contact
position.
Turn the filter holder to the extreme
right.
Edge of filter insert not free of coffee.
Switch off water supply, remove the
filter holder and clean the edge of the
filter insert.
Sealing ring in brewing head is dirty.
Clean the sealing ring.
Sealing ring no longer has elasticity.
Sealing ring must be replaced.
LOUD NOISE OF THE PUMP
No water in reservoir.
Fill with water.
Water reservoir not correctly in position.
Raise water reservoir and put into the
correct position.
NO ESPRESSO RUNS THROUGH
No water in reservoir.
Fill up with water.
Selector switch „d" set for steam.
Remove filter holder, reverse selector
switch and cool the unit heater down
to coffee-making temperature.
Brewing filter blocked.
Remove filter holder, switch on water
supply. Water must run out of the
brewing filter. If necessary, unscrew
brewing filter (Caution hot,
disconnect plug from mains) and
clean it.
