Instructions for use
These instructions for use are general instructions for the product described and do not replace user training. Intensive
instruction and practice is essential for the use and maintenance of the rescue harness with carrying function. In addition,
users must be physically and mentally fit and not under the influence of intoxicants. Inadequate training, incorrect use and
misuse of the product can lead to accidents. The instructions for use and the information and instructions contained therein
must be carefully observed and complied with.
1. General application
The rescue harness with carrying function has been developed for rescuing injured persons from areas with difficult access.
The rescue harness is used for the horizontal and vertical transport of injured persons from exposed positions for rope and
air rescue. The injured person is secured with the integrated rescue harness and additionally wrapped in a flexible plastic
plate using fixation strap fasteners. The aim is to ensure the safety of the injured person and minimise the physical exertion
of the rescue team. The rescue harness with carrying function may only be used within the specified operating conditions
and for the intended purpose.
Any combination of different equipment can cause unforeseeable hazardous situations and have a negative impact on the
safety of the user.
2. Areas of application
Rescue from confined spaces, rescue from heights and depths, rope and air rescue, rescue in hard-to-reach areas, industrial
accidents, evacuation from natural disasters, emergencies in urban environments, military or tactical operations and road
accidents
3. User training
The user must be sufficiently trained and familiar with the use of the rescue stretcher before using it for the first time. In
addition, repeated instruction in these instructions for use is necessary during the introduction and subsequent further
training.
The training course must be documented in detail and repeated at regular intervals in accordance with applicable
standards and national regulations. The type, scope, and date of the training must be recorded chronologically.
4. Product description
The RsqTec TURTLE FrameX is a versatile and certified rescue system that offers a combination of patient transport
equipment and rescue harness. It has been tested in accordance with the standards DIN EN 1497:2007 and DIN EN 1865-
1:2015 clause 5.4.1 and is particularly suitable for the rescue and transport of injured or accident victims.
The application starts with opening all buckles and placing the straps to the sides to allow free handling. The adaptive leg
support is inserted into the square tube of the rescue stretcher and locked in the integrated locking system. The leg support
can also be retrofitted during transport. The injured person is carefully positioned on the rescue stretcher, with the top of
their head flush with the upper edge of the protective tray. The leg straps are then correctly attached by passing the belt
under the thigh and wrapping it around the leg at the crotch. The buckles are audibly and perceptibly engaged and the
straps are pulled tight, but not constricting, so that the person's position remains stable. The shoulder strap is passed over
the head and placed on the chest. Here too, the buckles are connected and the straps are tightened slightly to ensure that
the chest remains free to move for breathing. The head fixation made of non-slip fabric is attached to the person's forehead
or helmet and secured with adjustable side straps. The lashing straps are connected crosswise and pulled taut, to securely
shape the protective tray of the stretcher. A head hanger is used for suspension, which is passed over the person and
