Close the smoke detector by inserting both

catches of the base plate into the recesses of the

smoke detector . Turn the base plate clockwise

until it audibly clicks (see Fig. A). Do not press any
button on the device for approx. five minutes (auto-
matic calibration).
Press and hold the test button pressed with your

arm extended (see Fig. A) until the alarm signal sounds
to prevent hearing damage. Then release the test
button . If no alarm signal is triggered by pressing
1
the test button , then the smoke detector does

not work properly. If this is the case, please contact
the service partner.
