Do not use any lifts.
Close the doors and windows to burning rooms to
prevent the fire and smoke from spreading.
If it is not possible for you to escape outside, then
find a safe room, close the door and draw attention
to yourself at the window. Seal the gaps in the door
with wet sheets or towels to prevent the smoke from
entering.
Notify the fire brigade immediately. Stay calm and
answer the questions they ask you clearly.
Recommendation
Do not use a smoke detector that is over 10 years old.
Smoke detectors are not a replacement for insurance.
Install smoke detectors so that they can alert you of fire
smoke at an early stage. Smoke detectors only sound
their alarm if smoke or burning particles are detected.
