5. Connect a serial device to the RS-485/RS-422 interface:
Important:
Ground the shield of the RS-485 cable at one end
of the cable.
– Full duplex (standard): Connect 4 wires.
– Half duplex (optional): Connect 2 wires to A and B and
short-circuit A–Y and B–Z with the jumpers included
in delivery.
Important:
In order to achieve optimal signal integrity it is
important to check the termination resistors of
the RS-485/RS-422 lines.
