Establishing electrical connection
Condition
■ Battery is fully discharged for all connection work.
or
■ If it is not possible to fully discharge the battery, appropriate
separators are to be installed in the connection between DC-
DC module and battery.
■ The separation devices between DC-DC module and battery
must be in accordance with applicable standards.
■ Before closing the separators, the battery connections must
be precharged to the current battery voltage! (see operator's
manual, chapter 7 "Operation", "Initial commissioning")
Means, Tools, Materials
■ Terminating resistor for the data output (provided).
■ Male connector (provided):
− Connector DC Link, 3-pin
− Connector 24 V, 2-pin
■ If necessary, precharger for precharging the DC link voltage
and battery connections on the DC-DC module to battery
voltage.
Note
Only DC-DC modules of the same power class may be con-
nected on any given system control.
A mixed group of TruConvert DC 1008 and TruConvert DC
1010 cannot be controlled.
The TruConvert DC 1008 – 1010 DC-DC module is an incom-
plete product. The DC-DC module is intended to be integrated
in a complete system. The system integrator must ensure that
the connected energy source, such as the battery, is separated
from the DC-DC module in case of malfunction.
Note
The voltage supply, sensor unit and switch disconnector are not
included in the scope of delivery and must be provided by the
system integrator.
