Warning signs on the device
1.3 Electrical connection
Note
All installation work must comply with the specifications of
the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Connection cables carry life-threatening voltage.
Ø Do not work under voltage.
Ø Before connecting, check battery cables to ensure that they
are not electrically live.
Before connecting, check DC link voltage cables to ensure

that they are not electrically live.
Danger of fire
Ø Observe the installation regulations of the installation loca-
tion.
Ø Fuse the battery connection and DC link at all poles.
Ø Dimension the fuse protection according to the application
and intended use of the device.
Destruction of the device by reverse polarity at the battery
connection.
Ø Observe the pole designation (+ and -).
Ø After polarity reversal: Do not switch on the device again.
Danger of fire!
Abrupt connection of the DC link voltage can destroy DC-
DC modules.
Ø Slowly increase the DC link voltage of 0 V to maximum volt-
age (ramp > 1 s).
Abrupt connection of the battery voltage can destroy the
DC-DC module.
Ø Precharge battery connection parts of the DC-DC module to
current battery voltage.
