Examples of character output at the data interface

The values can be retrieved from ND 780 using a PC. In all three
examples, measured value output is started with Ctrl B (sent over
serial interface), or a switching signal at the EXT input (within
optional Auxiliary Machine Interface). Ctrl B will transmit the currently
displayed values in either Actual Value, or Distance-To-Go mode,
whichever is currently visible.
