INSTALLATION NOTES
• Please read the user manual before connection and configuration of the device.
• ROB-21 is intended for installation in junction boxes Ø60. Use deep junction boxes or junction
boxes with added pockets. In case the door casing is made of plastic, it is permissible to install
the controller directly in it.
• If installed outdoors, the unit must be adequately protected against water and condensation.
• The specified supply voltage range (12÷24 V AC/DC) must be strictly observed. Connecting
other voltages may adversely affect the device's operation or damage it.
• Connection and configuration operations should be carried out by a qualified electrician. For
safety reasons, do not install the unit without casing or with damaged casing.
• To install the device, use a cross-head screwdriver with 3.5 mm diameter.
• The screw terminals allow to connect a wire with a cross-section of 2.5 mm2.
• The range specified in the manual (up to 200m) is relevant for ideal conditions in an open field. In
case of issues concerning range, it is recommended to use an additional intermediary connector
- REP-21.
• The ROB-21 outputs (NO dry contact) are connected to the appropriate inputs of the gate control
unit or the electric strike of the pedestrian gate. Typically, gate controllers use inputs to connect
a local button.
• Limit switches are connected to IN1/ IN2. These can be NO or NC type switches. Limit switches
require to be configured using EXTA LIFE application.
• When installing several devices in one place, avoid mounting one receiver above the other.
