6.2 Operation of the test stand
6.2.1 Manual
Manual mode is enabled via the MAN/AUTO switch. In manual mode, the test stand can only be
moved by pressing and holding the keys.
With the FORTH and BACK keys, the meter always moves forwards or backwards at maximum
speed as long as the respective key is held down. With the FORTH/BACK rocker switch, the
device moves forwards or backwards at the set speed as long as the key is held in the respective
direction.
The SPEED switch can be used to select between speeds of 100 mm/min and 300 mm/min.
6.2.2 Automatic
The MAN/AUTO switch can be used to switch to automatic mode. In this operating mode, the test
stand automatically moves back to the end position as soon as the BACK key or the
FORTH/BACK rocker switch is pressed once in the backward direction.
If a key is pressed to move forwards, the device only moves to a certain position in the centre of
the rail. From this position, the device can only be moved forwards by manually pressing the
FORWARD key or the FORTH/BACK rocker switch. When moving forwards, the device always
moves at maximum speed.
