6 Operation
6.1 Making a measurement
The current force in Newtons, the sample thickness and the set feed speed are displayed on the
measurement screen.
To eliminate any offset of the measured value, the zero point can be set using the 0 key. No force
should be applied to the measuring cell to correctly determine the zero point.
6.1.1 Setting the thickness of the test piece
The sample thickness can be adjusted using the arrow keys. Use the Right and Left arrow keys
to select the digit and the Up and Down arrow keys to change the selected digit. In the following
illustration, the first digit after the decimal separator is selected and can now be changed using
the arrow keys. Press OK to confirm the setting.
6.1.2 Seeting the feed speed
The feed speed is switched using the Back key. The device switches between the settings 100
mm/min and 300 mm/min at the touch of a key.
