3. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
Ethernet RJ45 wire
The IperCom system was developed for operating with EIA/TIA 568B standard.
•
Connect the wire to one of the RJ45 connectors with Urmet logo.
•
Insert the wire in the guide respecting the color-coding shown (Standard T568B).
Grey sheath
•
Cut the cables so that they protrude from the guide by about 5 mm, insert the guide in its plug and crimp
with the specially provided tool.
•
Make sure that the grey sheath stays inside the plug. This type of connection will NOT guarantee double
insulation.
Wires with cross-section area of 0.5 mm
cross section area smaller than 0.5 mm
Refer to the instructions contained in the system manual for maximum distances and configuration
operations.

5. OPENING THE DOOR USING A PROXIMITY KEY
To open the door, approach the proximity key to the front of the device.
If the key is valid, the LED changes colour from red to green and the device emits one long beep.
If the key is not valid, the LED goes out and the device emits three short beeps.
