Remaining hazards
The machine has been built using modern technology
in accordance with recognized safety rules. Some re-
maining hazards, however, may still exist.
• Risk of injury for fingers and hands by the rotating
saw band due to improper handling of the work piece.
• Risk of injury through the hurling work piece due
to improper handling, such as working without the
push stick.
• Risk of damaging your health due to wood dust and
wood chips. Wear personal protective cloth such as
goggles. Use a fitting dust extractor.

bracelets and other jewellery.
• For the safety of long hair, wear a cap or hair net.
Even when all safety measures are taken, some

8. Attachment and operation
m Attention!
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Before starting the equipment
Make sure the machine stands securely, i.e. bolt it to a
workbench or solid base. There are two holes for this
purpose in the machine foot.
• The saw table must be mounted correctly.
• All covers and safety devices have to be properly
fitted before the machine is switched on.
• It must be possible for the blade to run freely.
• When working with wood that has been processed
before, watch out for foreign bodies such as nails
or screws etc.
• Before you actuate the On/Off switch, make sure
that the saw blade is correctly fitted and that the
machine's moving parts run smoothly.
• Before you connect the machine to the power sup-
ply, make sure the data on the rating plate is the
same as that for your mains.
8.1 Mounting the saw on a work bench (Fig. 3)
• A workbench made from solid wood is better than
one made of plywood, as interfering vibrations and
noise are more noticeable with plywood.
• The necessary tools and small parts for assembling
the saw on a workbench are not supplied with the
saw. However, use equipment of at least the fol-
lowing size:
