Sharpening the Blades
WARNING
■ The cutting edges of the blades are sharp.
There is a risk of cutting oneself.
► Wear work gloves made of robust material.
► Switch off the weeder.

19.1
Repairing the Weeder
The user cannot repair the weeder.
► If the weeder is damaged: Do not use the
weeder; contact a STIHL servicing dealer.
19.2
Servicing and Repairing the
Battery
The battery requires no servicing and cannot be
repaired.
► If the battery has a malfunction or is damaged:
Replace the battery.
Remedy
► Recharge the battery fully as described in
the User Manual for the STIHL AL 101,
301, 301-4, 500 chargers.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the battery to cool down or warm
up.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean electrical contacts in the battery
compartment.
► Insert battery.
► Switch on weeder.
► If 3 LEDs continue to flash red: Do not
use the weeder; contact a STIHL servi‐
cing dealer.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the weeder to cool down.
► Remove battery and reinsert it.
► Switch on weeder.
► If 4 LEDs continue to flash red: Do not
use the battery; contact a STIHL authori‐
zed dealer.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean electrical contacts in the battery
compartment.
► Insert battery.
► Allow the weeder or battery to dry,
