Charging the battery
Do not expose the battery to
extreme conditions such as
heat or impact. Risk of injury from
escaping electrolytic solution! After
eye/skin contact, rinse the affected
areas with water or a neutraliser
and consult a doctor.
Charge the battery in a dry
room only.
Prior to attaching the charger,
check that the battery's outer sur-
face is clean and dry.
There is a risk of injury due to elec-
tric shock.
Switch off the device and remove
the battery before carrying out any
maintenance work.
The rechargeable battery only
reaches its full capacity once it has
been charged several times.
• Charge the battery before using it for
the first time.
• Only use chargers from the Parkside
X 12 V Team series to recharge the bat-
tery.
• If the operating time is considerably
shortened despite charging, this shows
that the rechargeable battery is de-
pleted and must be replaced. Only use
an original replacement battery from
the Parkside X 12 V Team series, which
can be purchased from the online shop
(see the "Spare parts" section).
• Always comply with the latest safety
information, as well as the regulations
and information relating to environmen-
tal protection.
• Defects resulting from improper han-

dling are not covered by the guaran-
tee.
Inserting/removing the
battery
1. To remove the battery (1) from the de-
vice, press both release buttons (2) on
the battery and pull the battery out.
2. To insert the battery (1), push the bat-
tery along the guide rail into the de-
vice. You will hear it click into place.
Only insert the rechargeable
battery once the battery-op-
erated tool is ready for use.
Checking the battery charge
level
The battery's (1) charge level is indicated
by the charge state indicator.
• The charge level of the battery is indi-
cated by illumination of the correspond-
ing LED lights while the device is in
operation. Press and hold the power
button to view.
red-yellow-green => Battery fully charged
red and yellow => Battery half charged
red => Battery needs
to be charged
Recharging the battery
If warm, allow the battery to cool
before charging.
Charge the battery (1) when only
the red LED on the level indicator is
illuminated.
The battery's (1) charge level is indi-
cated by the charge state indicator.
