following symbols should be taken into consideration:

This device has been checked according to the EC
guidelines and hence meets the requirements of the
current
European
(electromagnetic compatibility 89/336EEC).
Measuring devices and accessories should be kept out of reach of
children!
In industrial facilities, the safety regulations laid down by the
professional trade association for electrical equipment and facilities
must be adhered to.
Measuring devices used in schools, training facilities, do-it-yourself
and hobby workshops should not be handled unless supervised by
trained, responsible personnel.
The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the cable tester
is inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
As a source of voltage, only a 9V block battery may be used.
Do not expose the device to high temperatures, humidity, strong
vibrations or high mechanic stress.
Checking cables with the cable tester may only be
done in a tensionless state of the cables. Make sure
before each measurement that the cables are
tensionless.

Disposal of used batteries/accumulators!

By law, the end-user is required (Battery regulation) to return spent
batteries and storage batteries; it is not permitted to dispose of
batteries in the normal waste.
Batteries/storage
substances are marked with the following symbols
which indicate that disposal via the household
rubbish is prohibited.
The designations for the respective hazardous
heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury,
Pb = lead. You can return your exhausted batteries/
rechargeable batteries free of charge to any
authorized disposal station in your area, in our
stores or in any other store where batteries/
rechargeable batteries are sold.
Thus, you comply with your legal obligations and make your
contribution to environmental protection!
Never use the measuring device if it is open. Do not
leave used batteries in the measurment device. Even
batteries protected against leakage can corrode, thus
releasing chemicals which can be damaging to your
health and can destroy the battery compartment.
Keep batteries out of reach of children. Do not throw
batteries in the fire. There is a danger of explosion.
