Operating modes
The unit has the following operating modes:
Run mode (normal operating mode), Display mode (indication of param-
eters and the set parameter values), Programming mode (setting of the
parameter values).
Run mode:
When the supply voltage has been applied the unit is in the Run mode
(indicated by the indicator RUN). It performs its counting function and
switches the transistor outputs according to the set parameters.
The display indicates the current counter values: counter 1 with indi-
cator CH1, counter 2 with indicator CH2. You can alternate between
these two values by pressing the button
LEDs signal the input and output status:
• LED green ON = corresponding output is switched
• LED yellow ON = sensor receives light
• LED red ON = object detection disturbed.
Display mode:
When the
button is pressed for a short time, the unit passes into
the Display mode. Internally it remains in the operating mode. Irre-
spective of this the set parameter values can be read:
• First select the parameter range by briefly pressing the
(see fold out page / parameter overview).
• Then select the next / previous parameter by pressing the button

. It is indicated by the parameter abbreviation in the 3-digit
alphanumerical display. The current preset parameter value is indi-
cated in the 5-digit numerical display.
Terminate the Display mode and return to the Run mode by pressing
the
button for approx. 3s. When no button is pressed for approx.
15s (timeout), the unit automatically returns to the Run mode.
